Prep this casserole the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning

Gather your ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian turkey sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 6 slices bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Follow these directions

  1. Crumble the sausage and brown it in a skillet. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, beat eggs; add milk, salt, and mustard. Stir in bread cubes, cheese, and sausage.

3. Pour mixture into a greased 11x7-inch baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.

4. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
