I have started doing this, not because I want more money. I'm not on Medium for that reason. However, I think it is important to read a variety of writers to hear their voices. I believe this helps spark greater creativity in my writing. (I do earn income through writing for organizations and print publications. That's why I don't feel pressure to monetize my writing on Medium.)
