I read your piece and it seems as though your siblings are so committed to being loyal to your mom that they can't see how important it is to put that situation behind them and embrace their half-brother. I'm glad you were able to do that but I am sorry your siblings chose to cut you off. I can see why you empathize with my estrangement from our children.
