My husband has vascular dementia due to a genetic predisposition to aneurysms. Despite having had two open heart surgeries and at least a dozen other major procedures since 2005, he still plays piano, exercises (chair with YouTube) and read voraciously. Dementia is a terrible condition but my husband is my hero for facing it with grit and grace and with me by his side.
