This is updated information from the Guideposts editor. “The deadline is flexible and we always need story pitches, so anybody who has stories that fit the general theme of the volume (God’s Constant Presence), go ahead and send them in regardless of timing.”

Guideposts is looking for writers to submit story summaries for future volumes of the book series God’s Constant Presence. Summaries should be 50–150 words. Deadline is May 15, 2024. (The date is flexible. See note above).

This is the summary they accepted from me

My best friend and I have been praying together every week for more than 30 years. In 2002 we started a home-based internet business that grew into one of the largest “click and brick” (online and retail shop) candy businesses in the United States.

We had no experience in this area. I was a development writer for non-profit organizations and she had been involved in the financial and human services departments of a heavy-equipment auction company.
